GamecocksOnline: South Carolina junior Amelia Vernon named SEC Rider of the Month.
The Big Spur: Post-practice notes: More on venue change, Bailey could play. Freshman Zack Bailey will play if he's healthy, but he'll be playing one of the guard positions rather than center.
Post & Courier: Gamecocks tailback Brandon Wilds aiming to return against LSU. Really hoping that this happens.
Gamecock Cereal: Podcast: Over/Under for USC-LSU.
CBS Sports: LSU band to learn Gamecocks' fight song, ticket profits go to South Carolina. There's obviously nothing LSU can do to make this really feel like a home game, but it's great that they're putting forth the effort to learn the alma mater and fight song and incorporate them into pregame. It appears that the Tigers are going to be very gracious hosts in every way possible.
The State: Moving USC-LSU game the right thing to do. This article has several quotes from Tanner about why moving the game to Baton Rouge was the best decision for Saturday. I absolutely agree that moving the game out of Columbia was necessary and it looks like neutral site options just weren't as viable as playing at LSU. Many people have expressed dissatisfaction with a decision that seems to give LSU a competitive advantage while making it hard for any USC fans to attend. But it's hard right now for me to get worked up about where a football game will be played; those kinds of issues just seem inconsequential next to what Columbia and its residents are still facing.
