South Carolina vs Presbyterian Preview

The Gamecocks host the Blue Hose Tuesday night

TheBigSpur

The season reached its lowest point yet over the weekend as the Gamecocks were crushed by Florida and dropped to 23-14 (6-9).  Unsurprisingly, South Carolina is no longer in the top 25 of any college baseball poll. The Gamecocks are 57th in the official NCAA RPI.

South Carolina is 45-18 against Presbyterian all-time and has not lost to the Blue Hose since 1948. The two teams have met every season since 2008, but prior to that had played only twice since the 1940s.

The Blue Hose enter tonight's game on a four-game winning streak and with a 21-15 (4-8) record. Presbyterian split their two games against Wofford this season, lost a midweek contest to Georgia in February and beat Clemson a couple of weeks ago. The Blue Hose swept UNC Asheville last weekend, but prior to that had lost their last four weekend series.
