There are a number of South Carolina Gamecocks alumni playing on Sundays (And Mondays! And Thursdays. And sometimes on Tuesdays or Saturdays, and once even on a Friday I think). Let's use Week 1 as a refresher and take a look at players who made an NFL roster in 2015, their status, and how they performed in the first game of the year. Drink every time I type San Francisco.
Active:
Jasper Brinkley, LB, New York Giants: Didn't log any stats, still had a better day than Eli Manning.
Jadeveon Clowney, LB, Houston Texans: Limited in his return from injury, Clowney recorded four tackles (one for a loss) in his 2015 debut.
Jared Cook, TE, Los Angeles St. Louis Rams: five receptions for 85 yards in a 34-31 win over Seattle.
Chris Culliver, CB, Washington Clown Funerals: One tackle. Plus, one-game suspension for his role in a hit-and-run.
Patrick DiMarco, FB, Atlanta Falcons: Did not log any stats, but did log a nice block on a Eagles defender.
Bruce Ellington, WR. San Francisco 49ers: Two receptions on two targets for five yards. Ellington also received a punt return but didn't gain any return yards.
Stephon Gilmore, CB, Buffalo Bills: Four passes defended and six tackles in a 27-14 win over Indianapolis.
Melvin Ingram, LB, San Diego Chargers: One pass defended and four tackles in a 33-28 win over Detroit.
Alshon Jeffery, WR, Chicago Bears: Still not 100% recovered from a calf injury, Alshon had five catches for 78 yards on Sunday against the Packers. He was targeted a team-leading eleven times. Jeffery will improve as he gets healthy, and should be the top targeted receiver for the Bears, although there is some worry that his coverage will be tougher now that opposing secondaries don't have to account for Brandon Marshall on the opposite side. Why yes, Alshon is on my Fantasy Football team, why do you ask?
T.J. Johnson, OL, Cincinnati Bengals: Played, did not log any stats.
Johnathan Joseph, CB, Houston Texans: Four tackles and one pass defended against Kansas City.
Jamon Meredith, OL, Tennessee Titans: Played, did not log any stats.
Captain Munnerlyn, CB, Minnesota Vikings: One tackle in a 20-3 loss to San Francisco.
Corey Robinson, OL, Detroit Lions: Played, did not log any stats.
Darian Stewart, S, Denver Broncos: Four tackles, one pass defended and one interception in a 19-3 win against Baltimore.
Ryan Succop, PK, Tennessee Titans: Went 6/6 on extra points and logged seven kickoffs, averaging 65.4 yards.
D.J. Swearinger, DB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Five tackles in a 42-14 loss to Tennessee.
Devin Taylor, DE, Detroit Lions: Four tackles in a 33-28 loss to San Diego.
Injured:
Antonio Allen, S, New York Jets: Allen tore his Achilles in August and is out for the season.
Busta Anderson, TE, San Francisco: Reportedly out for up to six weeks with an undisclosed injury.
Clifton Geathers, DE, Pittsburgh: Currently listed on IR, but I googled deep and couldn't come up with a diagnosis. Can any of yinz shed some light on this one?
Connor Shaw, QB, Cleveland Browns: Will miss the entire season after suffering a right thumb injury, dashing our collective hopes and dreams. Spin: I no longer have to check in on Browns games.

A.J. Cann, OL, Jacksonville
Mike Davis, RB, San Francisco
Practice squad:
Damiere Byrd, WR, Carolina
Justice Cunningham, TE, St. Louis
Kelcy Quarles, DT, Cleveland
Dylan Thompson, QB San Francisco
