Gamecock Toast: Gamecocks defense downright embarrassing against Georgia (link fixed). I just stumbled across this blog - check it out. Here is a joyful thought at the end of this post:
Unfortunately, for the Gamecock faithful this season appears to be chalked up as a loss, the scary part, I don’t see it getting any better next season. The team will lose their top two backs in Wilds and Carson, the top tight end, 3 offensive line starters, and more than likely their top WR.
The Daily Gamecock: Gamecocks deliver lackluster performance in Athens. Plus - Women's soccer takes conference win from Missouri 1-0 and Volleyball collects all three wins in Carolina Classic.
The Rubber Chickens: Snap Judgments – 2015 USC @ UGA Edition. What Buck didn't cover, and I think is a big deal, is that Spurrier's pass-first offense has to be jettisoned and we need to return to a run-first scheme, with zone-reads and hot routes - i.e., the schemes we recruited our OL and RBs to execute.
SCNow: While we're on that topic - Gamecocks' offense had no surprises for Georgia by David Cloninger.
SportstalkSC: Spurrier Sunday after Georgia loss: "We hope to fix it." (AUDIO) - the full Sunday teleconference.
Gamecock Central: If you don't want to listen, then Scott Hood breaks the teleconference down here - Spurrier talks possible lineup changes.
Fox Sports: Center Alan Knott out several weeks for Gamecocks.
Greenville News: USC’s Steve Spurrier says changes must be made - story by the News' veteran reporter Willie T. Smith III.
Saturday Down South: South Carolina Gamecocks inept on offense and defense in Georgia loss.
Southern Pigskin: Check out # 10 - SEC Weekend Recap.
Orlando Sentinel: UCF football plans to move forward with one quarterback. Please don't let UGA beat us twice by overlooking this desperate Knights (0-3) team.
Gamecock Cereal: NFL Gamecocks: Week 2 Schedule, reaction to UGA loss.
Spurs & Feathers: Fall scrimmages start with 'encouraging' weekend on the diamond.
Garnet & Cocky: Sanders Early argues that Recruiting Must Be Bigger Priority. The two men in charge of recruiting are both named "Spurrier."
From the Archives ...
ESPN SEC Blog - Feb. 6, 2013: Recruiting rank doesn't faze Spurrier. Ya think he's fazed now?
247 - Dec. 12, 2014: Spurrier's "2-3 more years" comment is backfiring. Hey - speaking his mind is a good thing, no?
Greenville News - Jan. 6, 2015: Despite defections, Spurrier remains pleased with recruiting class. "We're not worried at all," said Spurrier. Hey, if he's not worried, why should you? What's the worst thing that could happen?
