On Wednesday the Gamecocks improved to 12-0 with a victory over Francis Marion. Tonight South Carolina faces Memphis in their last non-conference game of the regular season. The Tigers are old opponents from the Metro Conference and Memphis has 18-5 lead in the all-time series. This game is the first meeting between the teams in over a decade, as the Gamecocks and Tigers last faced each other in the 2004 NCAA tournament. Though the 9-3 Tigers aren't ranked, they're one of the tougher teams on Carolina's non-conference portion of the schedule.
