No moral victories but some losses are better than others.

Happy all about it.
Happy all about it.
Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports

Carolina was in a position to win this game and should have.  Hardly anyone in the CFB world was watching and with all the big matchups, upsets and drama, most will see a 10+ point TAMU victory as a little bit of a mental break by the Ags rather than anything USC did. That, or they will say Aggie QB Trevor Knight did not have his top two WR (neither did we). I can settle for this - we didn't get boat-raced on our field again and recruits in the stands can see we're not a hopeless, basket-case team but one that went toe to toe for 60 minutes with a proven, top-10 program. I can and will take solace in that.

David Cloninger: Thumbs up, Thumbs down.

Team Speed Kills: Texas A&M vs. South Carolina 2016 final score: What we learned from the Aggies’ 24-13 victory. Basically what I was saying in the introduction.

The Big Spur: Quarterback position is back up for grabs. I don't see this as a big deal. We're not good enough at QB to have a true controversy. For a couple of weeks, I've suggested we start B-Mac but work-in Orth.  I know, I know. QB1 needs to work with the first team, generally-speaking, but we're not in a normal situation. Don't be afraid to play both; don't be afraid to bench one for a half or a quarter, either. Plus Special teams miscues hurt upset bid.

SEC Country: On the topic of special teams - Blame the missed field goals and muffed punts on Will Muschamp. Good coaches take the blame but players have to make plays; Fry is a great guy but he is not automatic at 40+ and hardly any D-1 kicker is; Fenton and King simply cannot muff punts - its unacceptable.

Saturday Down South: A.J.!

Willie T. Smith III: USC's defense solid against Aggies.  They're not Fire Ants (yet) but they're showing it on the field, and saying the right things, too. That being said, we dropped two sure-fire INTs that could have broken the game open.

GamecockCentral: Muschamp to SEC foes: Enjoy it while you can. Back it up, Coach, and Carolina nation will have your back.

GoodBullHunting: Post Game Thoughts from College Station, Texas.

Spurs & Feathers: Gamecocks give No. 9 Texas A&M all they can handle in loss to Aggies and View from the Texas A&M locker room.

Sportstalksc: K-Mac breaks down USC’s loss to #9 Texas A&M (VIDEO). I think he's mostly spot-on.
