Hey guys! Hope everything is going well with everyone. It’s been an eventful week for Gamecock football, despite coming off the bye week.
In last week’s ODS feature, I did a theoretical matchup between the digi-South Carolina Gamecocks and the digi-Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Despite getting over 400 yards passing from digi-Jake Bentley, the Gamecocks blew a 4th quarter lead and lost by a field goal.
This week, I don’t have access to a game system, so I had to get a little bit creative. I found a pretty good game simulation website called NCAAGameSim.com and ran some different matchups through their simulator a couple times. Satisfied with the results, I decided this is how ODS would roll this week. I am going to provide the exact play by play from the game and the usual stat table at the end. Hopefully this will only be a one time thing, so expect to be back to the former format next week. Obviously, this simulation could hold little weight come Saturday as we don’t really know who will be starting at quarterback, but the computers decided to go with Perry Orth.
Thanks guys!
