The South Carolina Gamecocks Women's Basketball team notched two more conference W's to go with their unblemished SEC record.
A'ja Wilson and coach Dawn Staley were awarded the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards, respectively, from the Southeastern Conference.
For coach Staley, it's the first time in history that the same coach has been bestowed the honor three consecutive times.
For A'ja Wilson (averaging 16.6 points and 3.1 blocked shots per game) her award marks just the third time that a Sophomore has been bestowed the conference's highest individual honor. She was also recognized as the league's Defensive Player of the Year.
Alaina Coates and Tiffany Mitchell also scored All-SEC first team honors.
The Lady Gamecocks (28-1, 16-0) travel to Jacksonville as the top seed in this week's SEC Tournament. They will face the winner of Missouri/Auburn at Noon on Friday. For more SEC Tournament info, CLICK HERE.
