Gamecock Baseball Weekend Thread: #6 South Carolina Gamecocks vs Alabama Crimson Tide

The Gamecocks take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the last SEC series of the year. Come talk with us!

The Big Spur

The Gamecocks, after obliterating The Citadel in the season's final home game, travel to Tuscaloosa to battle the Crimson Tide of Alabama. Carolina has a chance to clinch the SEC by winning big this weekend, they could also finish as low as 8th in the conference. So it's a big weekend for the Yardcocks. Let's talk.

Roll Gamecocks.

*UPDATE NUMBER 1*

Despite Clarke Schmidt not having his best stuff last night, the Yardcocks were able to get an important win on the road last night against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Gamecocks will start Braden Webb on the mound tonight as they continue their quest for the SEC regular season title. First pitch is scheduled for roughly 8 PM CT and can be found on SEC Network+.

*UPDATE NUMBER 2*

Braden Webb was pretty sharp on the mound, and the Gamecocks got the clutch hitting needed to clinch the series last night. With a win today, Carolina could potentially clinch at least a share of the SEC regular season title. Go Cocks!

*UPDATE NUMBER 2A*

The South Carolina Gamecocks will have an opportunity to win the SEC East outright today. A win OR another Florida loss to LSU will give the Gamecocks the sole SEC East crown. LET'S GO GAMECOCKS!
