6”2’ / 310

Recruitment

Three-star prospect from the class of 2014. Listed as the 49th best DT and 20th best player from the state of Alabama. Offered by a slew of other SEC teams including Ole Miss, Mississippi St., Arkansas and Kentucky.

College Career

Stallworth has seen marginal success thus far in Columbia tallying 16 total tackles in 17 career appearances. He started the first three games to begin the 2015 season before seeing his playing time diminish as the season progressed. He has finished with 8 tackles each of his first two seasons.

2016 Outlook

The third-year DT has been a culprit on the often suspect and absent defensive line of the past two years, yet should receive ample opportunity to become a force upfront for the Gamecocks D this season. Stallworth was listed as one of the DT starters in Will Muschamp and Travaris Robinson’s first-year defense alongside senior Kelsey Griffin.

We’ll need the big man up front to become the force we’ve been waiting for if we’re expecting to see some measured improvement from the troubled line.
