Asbury didn’t receive much recruitment coming out of Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, but made his way to Berry College in Georgia as a tight end. He transferred to South Carolina before the 2015-2016 school year and decided to walk on to the football team.
College Career
Asbury actually appeared in three contests at Berry in 2014. I personally would like to see him come off the bench and line up at TE at some point. Who knows? The guy could turn out to be the next Jason Witten.
Potpourri
Asbury is a member of the various specialists - kickoff, punting, long-snapping, etc. - that are a vital part of the program. They even have their own Twitter feed, @sc_specialists, that you can give a follow if you’re so inclined.
Membership is only open to a select few, and if you have to ask, you can’t be in it. We actually weren’t told that, but...
