The Feed Pail - July 11th, 2016: South Carolina Gamecocks football, basketball and recruiting

247Sports: Chris Silva and TeMarcus Blanton are grateful to be reinstated to the South Carolina Gamecocks basketball team, as they should be. A couple of highly related recruits released their top schools yesterday. The Gamecocks made the top 5 for Jamyest Williams. In-state stud defensive end Xavier Thomas also released his top schools and the Gamecocks made the cut. Perhaps if Xavier Thomas commits he’ll do something like this in the Garnet and Black.

GABA: The Final Cockdown really likes long-snappers lately. Sydney wrote about how Jamyest Williams (mentioned above) may be trending toward the Gamecocks. I did a writeup about the latest roster update for our favorite college football video game and David talked about our real life football schedule.

SECSports: Saturday Down South recently sat down and talked with college football expert Phil Steele. In the interview Phil talks about, in part, which first year SEC East coach will exceed expectations. While he thinks Coach Muschamp will do a solid job at South Carolina, he does believe that this season will be a rebuilding year.
