The head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks, Will Muschamp, gave some of his thoughts about yesterday’s scrimmage. Let’s look at what he had to say.
Positives on both sides of the ball, intel on the QBs, and snap count:
Some positives on both sides but a long ways to go. 120 snaps.

QBs: "I thought all three quarterbacks did some really good things. But nobody's head and shoulders above everybody."
— David Cloninger (@DCTheState) August 14, 2016
Muschamp says Orth, McIlwain and Bentley will continue to rep equally.

Coach Muschamp’s thoughts on Deebo Samuel and rest of the offense:
Samuel played extremely well, had a well contest catch over Fenton. Smith did well. Did have 8 drops, not all at wide receiver.

Hayden Hurst did well, Pollard did a nice job, had over 40 snaps, KC Crosby cleared for full go. Need to play better in offensive line.

Some insight on the defense:
Taylor Stallworth and Kelsey Griffin each had great scrimmages.

Muschamp: Secondary was OK. "Not to be confused with good."

Injuries and shifting people around:
One injury, Stephen Montac hit pretty good, back on Monday. Hopes to get Markway back in two weeks.

Going to move Darius Whitfield to OL and Javon Charleston moved to DB.

Diggs would start at nickel if there were a game today.

Alan Knott playing both guard spots right now as he continues to recover from the thumb. But will get back to center once healthy.
— David Cloninger (@DCTheState) August 14, 2016
Sean Kelly apparently maliciously injured a tree:
Punter Sean Kelly will not miss any game time. Had a recent incident. Muschamp will handle within the program.

USC punter charged w/ "malicious injury to tree." That's got to be on an SEC Preseason Bingo card somewhere right? https://t.co/xe7mnyAzS8
