As the Gamecocks creep closer to the 2016 football season, things are really getting serious on the practice field. Our intrepid warrior, DC3 is here to bring you the inside scoop from the proving grounds. If you want the details, I suggest you go here or here or here to read more from GABA’s award-winning crew. You’ve come here for the good stuff. Buckle up and enjoy:

Here are the things we learned this week from watching practice:

School’s Back!

Yay! You’re going to have a really awesome 4 maybe 6 years at Carolina and you’re going to have the time of your life, but twice a year you are going to have to move your stuff in, and move your stuff out, and those are going to be the two hottest days of the year and it’s going to suck. Welcome to school!

We’re in the Army now!

Sorry you just moved in, but, you are now in the armed forces. No seriously. All of us. Even you.

Seriously. Get your boots.

WAIT NO I WAS KIDDING IT WAS A JOKE

We’re undefeated!

I mean, technically, he’s right. If we never play any actual games we don’t have to lose in hysterical fashion to somebody like East Carolina any games. Actually, this is a brilliant tactic. Let’s stay right here. For forever. This is fine.

Bryan Edwards is good at catching stuff:

This is a really cool picture of Bryan Edwards making a leaping one-handed grab the other night. He’s pretty talented, and he’s going to be a lot of fun to watch this season. However, this picture would be unnecessary if whoever threw this ball to him didn’t throw it so far above his head.

Our Social Media department is still kinda meh:

I mean, it’s not bad, I guess, and kids these days sure do love their video games, but, man, I don’t know. Maybe we’re so busy teaching our quarterbacks to throw so Bryan Edwards doesn’t have to jump into the atmosphere to catch balls that we don’t have enough time to come up with new, neat ways to sell the program to recruits. Maybe that’s the case. Let’s check in on how practice is going:

Oh good grief.

Speaking of which, what’s with this ‘Carolina Made’ thing. Who came up with that? I mean it’s better than the last slogan, but, it’s kinda boring. Hey, come to think of it, whatever happened to ‘Here SC’?

Oh. Oh dear. We woke it up.
