Happy New Year, everyone! We hope that your 2017(!) is off to a great start.

As we go into the new year, I wanted to salute Sam McDowell, my co-manager, who is stepping down from his administrative duties due to some exciting professional opportunities that have opened up. I’ve enjoyed running the site along with Sam - it’s hard to believe he’s been in the role for almost a year - and it’s been great to see him be the driving force behind several site features both during and pre-dating his tenure as a manager (bringing back Our Digital Season, hosting the podcast with DC3 and Rantin’ Rhonda, starting the “From the Student Section” that’s been handed off to Ryan, and more). The good news is that he’s not going away altogether! He’ll still be hosting the podcast and posting as his schedule allows.

That means that we are looking for someone to fill his spot on staff. That person (who, along with me, will report to SB Nation’s college league managers) will be in charge of making sure we’re putting out great content every day, as well as helping maintain and grow our great following on social media (5600+ Twitter followers, 27,000+ likes on Facebook). They’ll help recruit and train new staff while communicating frequently with current staff, including assigning story ideas. You’ll need to, at the very least, have a strong knowledge of South Carolina athletics, along with great writing skills. This is a paid position that is eligible for a small monthly stipend.

Please click here for the application. One of our league managers will be in touch with next steps. Good luck!
