Three Point Preview:

  1. A win in Auburn would be head coach Dawn Staley’s 200th as the Gamecocks coach. This will be the 12th time Staley has coached against Auburn. The Gamecocks are 8-3 in those games and have won five straight. The two teams met twice last year. Carolina won by 16 at Auburn and won by 9 against the Tigers at the SEC Tournament.
  2. The Gamecocks will look to continue their low post dominance. A’ja Wilson has scored double figures in every game this season. Alaina Coates has posted a double-double in four of the last five game. After two tough games, Kaela Davis bounced back against Alabama, scoring 16 points.
  3. Auburn is led by a pair of seniors. Katie Frerking is the teams leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 16.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. She is also the teams leading three point shooter at 37.5 percent. Senior guard Brandy Montgomery is the Tigers second leading scorer at 16 points per game.
