South Carolina at Tennessee: Week 7 Injury Report

New, 5 comments

Things are looking up for the Gamecocks on the offensive line.

The Gamecocks could get Zack Bailey back against Tennessee, which would boost the offensive line.

The South Carolina Gamecocks will hit the road to Knoxville with a couple key players back in the mix against the Tennessee Volunteers. Former and oft-injured cornerback Akeem Auguste will guide you through who’s in and who’s out for the Gamecocks on Saturday.

Zero Augustes - Full go!

One Augustes - Should play, but won't start

Two Augustes - Game-time decision

Three Augustes - Questionable

Four Augustes - Unlikely

Five Augustes - Out

Zack Bailey and Cory Helms — Two Augustes

The two offensive linemen have been rehabbing sprained ankles for several weeks and appear ready to go, although coach Will Muschamp did say their status would be a gametime decision. I’d think Bailey is the more likely of the two to play, since he’s been out longer and there was a chance he’d be available for Arkansas last week.

Malik Young — Five Augustes

Yet another young offensive linemen nursing an ankle injury, Young will not make the trip to Knoxville.

Terry Googer — Five Augustes

Googer is also off the travel roster as the staff continues to play it safe after his scary neck injury against Texas A&M.

K.C. Crosby — Five Augustes

The young tight end suffered a broken leg while blocking in the Arkansas game and will miss the remainder of the season.
