Odds: Gamecocks overwhelming underdogs at Georgia

After grinding out a win against Vanderbilt, the South Carolina Gamecocks head to Athens to face their top SEC East rival and the newly-minted No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs as 24.5-point underdogs.

Undefeated Georgia (8-0) thrashed Florida 42-7 at the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party last week, a game in which the Bulldogs only completed four passes and got Gators coach Jim McElwain fired. Accordingly, the betting line for this matchup has held steady all week with Georgia as the prohibitive favorite. To say South Carolina has its hands full would be an understatement.

The over-under is set at 45.5. South Carolina is 5-2-1 against the spread this season, while Georgia is 6-2.
