SEC Power Rankings: Kind of a meh week

Nothing, like, extremely crazy happened.

NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Arkansas Brett Rojo-USA TODAY Sports

So for this week, I’m going to just rank the teams as I see them and give one sentence explanations. If you thought my power rankings could get worse, you were terribly mistaken. Have fun.

NCAA Football: Tennessee at Missouri Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

14. Tennessee Volunteers (LW: 14)

I hate Tennessee.

NCAA Football: Missouri at Vanderbilt Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

13. Vanderbilt Commodores (LW: 12)

Just an average football team.

NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Arkansas Brett Rojo-USA TODAY Sports

12. Arkansas Razorbacks (LW: 11)

Brett Bielema is still the head coach of Arkansas.

NCAA Football: Alabama-Birmingham at Florida Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

11. Florida Gators (LW: 13)

They beat UAB and scored more than 20 points.

NCAA Football: Mississippi at Kentucky Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

10. Ole Miss Rebels (LW: 10)

Winning without Shea Patterson.

NCAA Football: Kentucky at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

9. Kentucky Wildcats (LW: 7)

Dawgs on top by a lot.

NCAA Football: Tennessee at Missouri Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

8. Missouri Tigers (LW: 9)

Five wins in a row, and they’re sort of a different team than the beginning of the year.

NCAA Football: Texas A&M at Mississippi Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

7. Texas A&M Aggies (LW: 8)

Won seven games and hasn't really gotten blown out, beating Ole Miss on the road is a plus.

NCAA Football: Wofford at South Carolina Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports

6. South Carolina Gamecocks (LW: 6)

Cocks by 90.

NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Arkansas Brett Rojo-USA TODAY Sports

5. Mississippi State Bulldogs (LW: 4)

Had an extremely good chance to beat Alabama, but then played down to Arkansas; I think LSU has a slight edge now.

NCAA Football: Louisiana State at Tennessee Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

4. LSU Tigers (LW: 4)

LSU has secretly been playing really well since the Troy game, they still have a really talented team.

NCAA Football: Kentucky at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

3. Georgia Bulldogs (LW: 3)

They’re playing good football, but the Dawgs will likely get blown out in the SEC Championship.

NCAA Football: UL Monroe at Auburn John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

2. Auburn Tigers (LW: 2)

As good as a two loss team there is in the country.

NCAA Football: Mercer at Alabama Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (LW: 1)

If they go on the road and beat Auburn next week with how Auburn has been playing, they’re probably going to win the natty.

I edited this from the original post, just wanted to give a little bit of my reasoning.
