South Carolina vs. Marquette NCAA Tournament Live Game Thread

Here we go.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

It's here. A game 13 years in the making has finally arrived. The seventh-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks, in their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2004, take on the Big East's tenth-seeded Marquette Golden Eagles in a restart of one of the top college basketball rivalries of the '60s and '70s. The winner moves on the second round to take on the Duke Blue Devils, while the loser heads home.

It should be a virtual home game for the Gamecocks as they're playing just 90 minutes from Columbia and in front of a crowd that should be heavily clad in garnet. Will that be enough to push them over the hump? We'll see.

Join us in the comment section below as we talk about the game (on TBS). Please be respectful, and most of all, have fun! We'll see you after the game for the recap where we'll hopefully be talking about a Gamecocks win.

STARTING 5 FOR CAROLINA: Notice, Thornwell, Silva, Gravett, Dozier.
