Welcome to offensive line week! The Final Cockdown is going take the next two weeks to appreciate the underappreciated big guys who make room for big runs and clean pockets. Here’s a list of who we’ll go through the next 13 days:

DJ Park | Zack Bailey | Christian Pellage | Alan Knott | Cory Helms | Donell Stanley | Malik Young | Blake Camper | Dennis Daley | Jordon Carty | Eric Douglas | Chandler Farrell | Summie Carlay | Jordan Rhodes

#55 Christian Pellage

RS Sophomore / 6’7” / 300 / Brooksville, Fla. / Nature Coast Tech

2016 could have been a big season for Pellage. After playing in every contest the previous year as a freshman, primarily on special teams, Pellage would have likely played in every game last season. That however would not be the case. He was arrested for a DUI in July of last year. Following the arrest, he was redshirted for the 2016 season.

Heading into 2017, he was not listed on the preseason depth chart that was released before media days. For Pellage to get on the field in 2017, he’ll likely have to get his spot back on special teams. He was a big-time recruit coming out of high school. He as ranked 138 in the ESPN 300 and was named an Under-Armor all-American. He certainly has the talent to work his way onto the line in the future with three years of eligibility remaining.

2016 Stats: Redshirt

Recruitment: Four-star. Offers from 16 schools including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma. Committed to USC on Aug. 8, 2014.

Next Up: Alan Knott heads into his fourth season on the Gamecocks offensive line.
