#11 Eldridge Thompson

RS-Junior / 6’1” / 215 / Houston, Tex. / White Station

For his first year in the division one ranks, Eldridge Thompson is already a seasoned player. He spent three years at Coffeyville C.C. in the acclaimed Jayhawk JUCO conference where fellow Gamecocks Ulric Jones and Steven Montac also played their JUCO ball.

But two of those three years were spent sidelined for injury. His first year in Coffeyville he was redshirted due to an ankle injury and last season he missed time with a shoulder injury. But the one year he was healthy, Thompson showed out.

In 2015 he registered 102 tackles, three sacks an interception and a fumble return TD. If healthy, Thompson has the potential to provide immediate production to the linebacking corps.

Select highlight: If this video is any indication of Thompson’s play, the dude can thump.
