The South Carolina Gamecocks finally take the field at Williams-Brice Stadium for the first time this season, and in good health, against the Kentucky Wildcats. Former and oft-injured cornerback Akeem Auguste will guide you through who’s in and who’s out for the Gamecocks on Saturday.
Zero Augustes - Full go!
One Augustes - Should play, but won't start
Two Augustes - Game-time decision
Three Augustes - Questionable
Four Augustes - Unlikely
Five Augustes - Out
Tavyn Jackson — Five Augustes
The young cornerback continues to recover from a hamstring pull. It’s hard to predict at this point, but a medical redshirt may enter the equation if he’s slated to miss many more games.
Steven Montac — Four Augustes
Thought to be moving forward with the foot injury he’s been battling, Montac has apparently suffered a setback. The defensive back didn’t travel to Missouri and is considered a gametime decision against Kentucky.
Randrecous Davis — Zero Augustes
Davis returned against Missouri and is on track to see more snaps against Kentucky.
Notable for Kentucky
Linebacker Jordan Jones is out after suffering a shoulder injury that requires more tests. Jones, an All-SEC performer who led the Wildcats in tackles last season, is considered one of Kentucky’s best defenders and is a big loss. Running back Benny Snell will play, but bruised his ribs against Eastern Kentucky, so that could be something to keep an eye on.
