Deebo Samuel opened the 2017 season for South Carolina with a kick return for a touchdown against N.C. State in a 35-28 Carolina win last week. This week, against Missouri, the Gamecocks found themselves trailing 10-0 after a 61-yard Drew Lock touchdown pass to Jason Reese.
Samuel had been quiet up to that point. On the ensuing kickoff, he made himself known in a big way.

Not only was it the first time in program history that a South Carolina player returned a kickoff for a TD in back-to-back games, it was Samuel’s third of his career, tying him with the program’s record. Unbelievable.
