The Gamecocks survived a 61-59 thriller against No. 22 Texas A&M in Columbia, thanks to the heroics of A’ja Wilson and her game-winning basket. Wilson scored 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, joined in double figures by Doniyah Cliney (16 points) and Ty Harris (11) as South Carolina overcame an 11-point deficit to start off SEC play with a bang.

What to watch for

Ole Miss lost preseason All-SEC guard Shandricka Sessom for the year to a torn ACL, but is paced by Madinah Muhammad (17.8 points per game) and Alissa Alston (16 ppg). The Rebels rank 10th in the NCAA in free throw attempts (321) and 23rd in free throws made (213). Ole Miss is also 24th nationally in blocks per game (5.6), led by Promise Taylor.

The Rebels are coming off a tough 73-72 loss at Arkansas, unable to complete a comeback after erasing a 15-point deficit. In its only previous action against a ranked team this season, Ole Miss fell 90-46 to No. 9 Oregon.
