The South Carolina Gamecocks are back at home to take on the Missouri Tigers after suffering numerous psychic and physical wounds against Kentucky. Former and oft-injured Akeem Auguste is here to guide you through the final injury report, which is unfortunately the most packed one we’ve seen this season and includes a bit of a bombshell.
Zero Augustes - Full go!
One Augustes - Should play, but won’t start
Two Augustes - Game-time decision
Three Augustes - Questionable
Four Augustes - Unlikely
Five Augustes - Out
Jacob August — Five Augustes
The senior tight end was the victim of a vicious blindside hit from the Wildcats, and as a result, is still in the concussion protocol.
Eldridge Thompson — Five Augustes
The senior linebacker needs shoulder surgery and will take a medical redshirt for the rest of this season. Not great news for a linebacking corps that has seen its share of struggles thus far.
J.T. Ibe — Five Augustes
The senior safety sprained his knee and is likely to return after the open date.
Jake Bentley — Two Augustes
Uh, whoa. The junior quarterback is considered a game-time decision after banging up his knee late in the loss to Kentucky. He’s been practicing this week and coach Will Muschamp described his status as “probable,” but it’s nonetheless surprising (and scary) to see Bentley land on the injury report.
Jamyest Williams — One Auguste
The sophomore cornerback departed the Kentucky game with a shoulder issue, but apparently is OK to play.
K.C. Crosby — One Auguste
The senior tight end broke his finger against Vanderbilt, but should play on Saturday.
