Last game
After two tough losses against No. 1 UConn and No. 2 Mississippi State, the Gamecocks got back in the win column with a 79-66 victory against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. A’ja Wilson led South Carolina with 21 points and nine rebounds, and Ty Harris added 17 points with six assists. It was more or less an uneventful win, which was something the Gamecocks desperately needed after the preceding week they’d had.
What to watch for
3-point shooting is Florida’s forte: The Gators are hitting 31.3% from behind the arc, an SEC-leading clip, and are 26th nationally in made 3-pointers (125). Funda Nakkasoglu (14.4 points per game) and Haley Lorenzen (12.3 ppg; she also leads Florida with 9.3 rebounds per game) pace the Gators. Florida is also third in the country in staying out of foul trouble, averaging just 12.6 whistles a game. The Gators are currently enduring a four-game losing streak, most recently taking their own defeat to Mississippi State (98-50).
