Last game
The Gamecocks were humbled by the Aggies at College Station, falling 83-60 in a game where virtually nothing went right from the opening whistle. The silver lining: starter Justin Minaya returned to the lineup after missing time with an ankle sprain, leading South Carolina with 16 points and also collecting seven rebounds. Kory Holden also made his return from an extended absence dealing with a hamstring injury. But other than that, the less said about this game, frankly the better.
What to watch for
Arkansas is scuffling a bit as well, coming off a 94-86 loss to LSU on Saturday and its own lopsided defeat to A&M (80-66). The Razorbacks, sporting an 11-1 home record, are second in the SEC in scoring offense (83.2 points per game) and first in field goal percentage (48.7%). Jaylen Barford’s 18.6 points per game leads Arkansas, and Daryl Macon (17) and Daniel Gafford (11) also average double figures.
