South Carolina vs. Georgia: Week 2 Injury Report

Crossing our fingers about D.J. Wonnum.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

After a very long week of talking about their matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs, the South Carolina Gamecocks are finally ready to go do the dang thing in Williams-Brice Stadium at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow. Akeem Auguste, the infamously banged-up former cornerback, will guide you through a thankfully short list of injured Gamecocks.

Zero Augustes - Full go!

One Augustes - Should play, but won’t start

Two Augustes - Game-time decision

Three Augustes - Questionable

Four Augustes - Unlikely

Five Augustes - Out

Chavis Dawkins — Five Augustes

The junior wide receiver still isn’t ready to go with a high ankle sprain he suffered during fall camp.

D.J. Wonnum — One Auguste

Well, Wonnum might start, but I hesitate to give him a zero rating here. Wonnum twisted his ankle in the third quarter against the Chanticleers, and was quickly removed. He missed some practice time this week, and according to coach Will Muschamp, the main problem at this point is just the swelling. Wonnum is expected to play, but it remains to be seen how many snaps, and how effective he’ll be. Fingers crossed.

KC Crosby — Zero Augustes

The senior tight end played against Coastal Carolina and practiced this week, but was apparently dinged up with an unspecified injury. Regardless, sounds like he’s fine.

Mon Denson — Zero Augustes

After skipping the opener with a hamstring issue, the junior running back is set to rejoin the rotation against the Dawgs.
