After a brief hiatus, we’re back with the Akeem Auguste Injury Report as the South Carolina Gamecocks get ready to hit the road to Athens. Fortunately, USC’s bye week appears to have done it some good, and the Gamecocks will take on the third-ranked Bulldogs in the best shape they’ve been in a while.
Zero Augustes - Full go!
One Augustes - Should play, but won’t start
Two Augustes - Game-time decision
Three Augustes - Questionable
Four Augustes - Unlikely
Five Augustes - Out
Rico Dowdle — Zero Augustes
Everybody breathe: The senior running back who came up limping near the end of the Kentucky win is good to go, according to Will Muschamp. His health is definitely something to watch against Georgia, though, especially with his history of ankle/lower-leg injuries.
Dakereon Joyner — Zero Augustes
The redshirt sophomore quarterback missed Kentucky with a pulled hamstring, but is set to play.
Randrecous Davis — Zero Augustes
The junior wide receiver, who has been struggling with a bum ankle all season, was slated for a post-bye week return and lo and behold, here he is.
Brad Johnson — Five Augustes
The junior linebacker has missed a few weeks with a stubborn groin injury and continues to be on the shelf.
NOTABLE: Defensive lineman Kier Thomas, who has been sidelined all year with an ankle infection after an offseason surgery, is still trying to get back to full speed. A medical redshirt remains possible, but apparently isn’t a foregone conclusion just yet. ... Freshman running back Kevin Harris, destroyer of Charleston Southern and who was potentially ruled out for the year with a groin tear, is back in the mix for a late-season return.
