SEC Media Win

Well, all things point to Shane Beamer being very good at SEC Media Days. There weren’t a lot of questions for Beamer to answer after his longer opening statement. I was hoping for some more question and answer time, but he answered each question with the right emphasis on the future.

But, none of that really matters. The best thing to come out of Media Days was the recreation of the "Arby’s" photo. You know the one. Classic Spurrier just havin’ some fun after enthralling the media in 2013. The original was taken by JD, supposedly. Just a look at the "HBC" getting a turkey sandwich and a diet Pepsi. The man in the background holding his son, more than likely telling him about all of Spurrier’s Fun ‘n’ Gun offenses at Florida. Those times where Florida might have ruined Alabama’s season. And, last but not least, the story of the 2010 beatdown of Alabama by SC.

Then just to put the exclamation point on his first SEC media day as the head coach, Beamer posed for this picture.

This is classic. Now, will he be able to win enough games to surpass Spurrier...who knows? But, the media game is strong with this one. There is so many things about this photo that you might miss on your first glance. Just look to the back right to see Nick Muse and Kingsley Enagbare. They replace the father and son duo from Spurrier's photo. Steve Finch is in both, just more prevalent in Beamer's photo. You will also see that Arby's has changed from Pepsi to Coke products. 10 years ago I would have thought that was a down grade since I was living on Mountain Dew. I drink more water than anything now so it's a shrug from me now.

This is what was lighting up twitter for the last couple of days. I know most of you have more than likely already seen the picture. But, I thought I'd see what everyone here thought about it. Not sure who is on twitter on here, maybe I already saw your response to this.

Go Cocks!
