We have made it through another football off season as fans. South Carolina’s first game is this Saturday night. I will hopefully test out finding the game on Thursday when I tune in for The Citadel vs Coastal game. As a Citadel graduate, I will have to at least look at the 1st five minutes or so. Again, I will have to make sure I am ready to watch the SC game on Saturday.
This is the first time in awhile that the opening game is not a regular televised game. I think I saw the last time was back in 2013. At least the next few games will be easier to find. Hopefully SC will not be regulated to the SEC Alternate channel or something worse. If my car situation was a little better, I might think about driving down to see the game in person.
What do you want to see this weekend? Is there any specific formations or plays you want the offense to run? How many yards to you think will be pasted by the offense? Will the offense score more than 5 TDs?
How many yards will the defense give up? Will they allow more than 13 points? Will someone step up to play very well in the defensive backfield? Does the defensive line have more than 3 sacks for the game? Will they allow less than 50 yards rushing?
All these questions and more will be answered on Saturday night. I’m still trying to keep my expectation lowered at least until after the ECU game.
