The Gamecocks completed a sweep of Albany on Sunday and over the weekend we learned that there are reasons to be optimistic about the Gamecocks making some necessary improvements this season. South Carolina will look to continue their successful start to the season as they host Appalachian State this afternoon.
The Mountaineers are 0-3 on the season after dropping games to Coastal Carolina, Virginia, and Old Dominion at the Caravelle Resort Tournament over the weekend. South Carolina and Appalachian State have played 12 times, with the Gamecocks triumphing in every game except one played in 1989.
