#13 South Carolina Gamecocks at The Citadel Bulldogs: Preview and How to Watch

The 8-0 Gamecocks go on the road against the Bulldogs

The Gamecocks capped off a great weekend on Sunday by completing a sweep of the Penn State Nittany Lions to improve to 8-0. The highlight of the weekend for Carolina was a 16-5 victory on Saturday that included two grand slams by the Gamecocks. The MVP of the weekend for the Gamecocks was John Jones, who earned National Player of the Week honors from Collegiate Baseball and was named Co-Player of Week by the SEC. He had a phenomenal weekend by pretty much any measure, batting 1.000 and reaching base in all 14 plate appearances against Penn State.

South Carolina will look to keep the offense rolling as they hit the road for the first time this season. The Gamecocks play The Citadel in Charleston tonight in the first game of this season's home-and-home series with the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are 5-1 on the season with series wins over Virginia Tech and Siena and their lone loss came in the series finale against the Hokies.
