The Gamecocks beat Wofford to improve to 11-2 on Tuesday night and they have a quick turnaround as they host Furman tonight. The Gamecocks have a 112-55-2 lead in the overall series with the Paladins, including a 67-21-1 record in Columbia. Carolina and Furman have split their two-game series three of the past five seasons, but all three Gamecock losses have come at Furman.
The Paladins are 7-4 on the season after beating UNC Asheville on a walk-off homerun on Tuesday night. After dropping their first two games of the season the Paladins have bounced back to win weekend series over both Dayton and Holy Cross. Tonight's game is the first road game of the season for Furman.

Sophomore right-hander Canaan Cropper will take the mound for the Gamecocks against Furman. The start will be Cropper's second of the season and he has a 2.25 ERA through his 4 innings of work this year. The Paladins have not yet announced a starter for tonight's game.
