Frank Martin's Gamecocks are set to begin a season that has many fans more excited about South Carolina basketball than they've been for years. We've been previewing the players on the team all week and we wrapped up our preview of the 2015-16 season early this evening with a staff roundtable on our expectations this year. Now it's time to finally get things started and see if the team will live up to our hopes.
The Gamecocks are facing the Norfolk State Spartans in the first meeting ever between the two teams. The Spartans hail from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and are led by third-year head coach Robert Jones.
