Three Point Preview:

  1. The Lady Gamecocks are going for their 4th straight 10-0 start to the season. They accomplished that feat last year against these same Hampton Pirates in a 20 point victory. This start has been by far the most difficult of any of the other three, winning games against three ranked opponents at the time.
  2. South Carolina blocked 16 shots against Winthrop Sunday, a record under Dawn Staley. Look for the Lady Gamecocks' size to dominate yet another undersized and overmatched squad tonight. Hampton eneters the game at 1-7, so look for Staley to experiment with some different lineups and limit the minutes of some of her usual starters.
  3. It looks like A'ja Wilson will be a game time decision tonight, but don't expect to see her. South Carolina should win easily again without her, and it's only best she gets as much rests and recovery before the SEC schedule starts. Wilson is one of three Gamecocks named to the Wooden and Naismith Award watch lists along with Alaina Coates and Tiffany Mitchell.
