The South Carolina Gamecocks played the Newberry Wolves in an exhibition matchup on Sunday evening. They would (unsurprisingly) win, 107-89, behind a 34-point effort by Sindarius Thornwell.
But Frank Martin might have gotten the biggest win of them all. Meet Ben Herring, a junior on the Newberry baseball team. Ben decided to tweet this gem during the game.

I don’t know if Ben was expecting a response from Martin, but he got it.
Do me a favor and tweet at me again when u graduate from kindergarten https://t.co/kR6Qka5n6s

You’ll note that Ben’s original tweet was deleted when he was called out by Martin when he realized his mistake and that he also put his account private. Of course, everything on the Internet can be screenshotted, and Ben now has a lifelong reminder that if you’re going to pick a fight with a head coach on Twitter, make sure it’s somebody else other than Frank Martin.
Be smart, readers. Don’t be like Ben.
UPDATE: Ben apologized the day after. Looks like all is good!
Respect to Gamecock faithful! I came in hot and y'all came back hotter. All in good fun.
