After a slow start and a lackluster performance led to South Carolina getting upset at Georgia on Tuesday, the Gamecocks remain on the road for a conference game in College Station. The Gamecocks fell to 19-3 (6-3 SEC) with the loss and all of their losses so far have come on the road.
The Aggies are 18-4 (7-2 SEC) and are ranked 8th in both the AP and USA Today polls. The Aggies have non-conference losses to Syracuse and Arizona State and have dropped their last two SEC games to Arkansas and Vanderbilt. However the Aggies have yet to lose at home and have beaten Arkansas, Florida, LSU, and Missouri in Reed Arena.
Senior guard Jalen Jones leads the Aggies in scoring with 16 points per game. Danuel House and Tyler Davis also average double figures for the Aggies. Texas A&M ranks first in the SEC in scoring defense and in scoring margin and the Gamecocks will need to be clicking in every phase of the game to pull off the upset today.
