This would be a big get.

Per reports from SportsTalk’s Phil Kornblut, Wright State transfer Mark Alstork will take an official visit to South Carolina on May 13. The Gamecocks had been involved with the guard in the wake of P.J. Dozier’s declaration for the NBA Draft, and will now be one of a handful of teams - Pitt, Georgetown, LSU are the others - that will get the chance to get him on campus.

Alstork (19.0 ppg, 40% FG, 38.7% 3PT in 2016-17) had talks with teams like Louisville, Oklahoma State and Michigan during his recruitment process, but for now it looks like those will remain just that: talks. He would be a solid addition to wherever he ends up; no doubt first-year men Patrick Ewing up at Georgetown and Will Wade at LSU will be putting on the full-court press to get an immediately-eligible guard on the roster as they look to rework their respective teams. And having Alstork in the South Carolina front court with Kory Holden would take the sting off of losing Dozier to the draft.

We’ll have more as this story progresses, but this would be a very nice get for Frank Martin.
