Name: Evan Hinson
Position: Tight End
Height/Weight: 6' 5" / 220 lbs
Hometown: Deltona, FL
Ratings: 247Sports: Three Star Rivals: Three Star ESPN: Three Star
Strengths: Hinson is a big, athletic 2-sport star (he will reportedly join the basketball team after football season next year) who has the makeup of a passing threat TE. He looks to fit into new offensive system and could begin contributing early in his college career.
Weaknesses: He's still growing. He'd need to put on 20-40 pounds of good weight to match the frame of most prototypical Tight Ends. Hinson is also likely to need time to further develop his pass rushing and blocking skills to excel at the college level, and truly slot in as a full tool-kit player on offense.
Overall: Originally a hard commit the Miami, Muschamp and crew were able to poach Hinson after he reopened his recruiting in the wake of Al Golden's firing. He's big, tough, and has already developed good catching skills. He's got the physical and athletic make-up, a good eye for the ball, and good timing. Look for him to be a big-bodied offensive weapon for years to come.
