All of the day's recruiting news in one place.

South Carolina sticks out for talented back

One of the Gamecocks' top running back targets, 4-star Collierville, Tennessee product Chase Hayden, has five schools that currently stand out and South Carolina is among them, along with Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Arkansas and Michigan. Most agree that Tennessee is in the driver's seat to land Hayden's services, given that he is a Vols legacy. Should they push hard for his commitment, they could be very difficult to compete with. However, Bobby Bentley has done a great job to get the Gamecocks into the position they are at right now and you never know what can happen once prospects get onto campus during the summer months. Hayden is certainly one to keep an eye on either way.

Martell looking for an offer from the Gamecocks?

The top ranked quarterback in the class of 2017, Texas A&M commit Tate Martell of powerhouse Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, released a lengthy and in-depth message on Twitter Sunday, concerning him taking his remaining scheduled visits, as well as giving a list of schools he would like to see or get offers from. South Carolina was listed under Martell's "SCHOOLS I WANT TO SEE/OFFER" list.

Martell has been committed to the Aggies since before his junior year and the Gamecocks have yet to offer him, so there may not be a lot to see here for now. The good part of this for South Carolina is that one of the country's top ranked players at the most important position on the field, who also happens to live clear on the other side of the country, has enough interest and respect for the program that he wants to see more of what South Carolina has to offer. Even if nothing comes from it, that is still a positive sign for the Gamecocks going forward, especially coming off the heels of a 3-9 campaign in 2015.

Returning to old stomping grounds

Back on March 1, the Gamecocks returned to Jefferson High School in Tampa, the alma mater of Stephen Garcia, to offer 2017 3-star defensive end J'Bril Glaze. Yesterday Glaze publicly announced South Carolina as his leader, tied atop with fellow SEC East rival Kentucky.

Glaze wants to try to make it to Columbia this summer to check out the program. He currently holds offers from the likes of Arizona, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Mississippi State.

South Carolina baseball offer gets football offer

Blythewood (S.C.)'s Jordyn Adams, already offered by the Gamecocks in baseball, announced this morning that he has received a football offer from Will Muschamp. Adams, whose father, Deke, was the Gamecocks' DL coach before taking the same position at ECU, is currently a sophomore and is being recruited by Travaris Robinson. Will he follow his father to the Tar Heel State or decide to play for his father's former employer? Time will tell.
