According to The Big Spur, new South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp is bringing Auburn secondary coach Travaris Robinson with him to Columbia as his defensive coordinator.
Robinson, a standout Auburn defensive back from 1999-2002, was Muschamp's defensive backs coach at Florida from 2011-2014 and Auburn this past year.
In 2013, ESPN.com tabbed the Miami native as the No. 1 recruiter in the country. 247 Sports named Robinson No. 24 on its Recruiter Rankings for 2014.
"He's an unbelievable recruiter, as you all can see. The guy works relentlessly at it,’’ said current Maryland head coach, and former Florida defensive coordinator, DJ Durkin on Robinson's recruiting prowess.
"I've been around a lot of good coaches, luckily, in my career, and I don't know one better than him at what he does. There's no doubt he’s a star."
T-Rob, as he's known to his players, was the primary recruiter for several Gator standouts during his time in Gainesville, including: Vernon Hargreaves III, Marcus Roberson and Jabari Gorman. Rivals lists Robinson as the recruiter of record for several four-star Auburn commitments for the 2015-2016 cycle.
