The Final Cockdown: #11, T.J. Holloman

T.J. Holloman

Redshirt Junior

Linebacker

Stone Mountain, Ga.

Recruitment

Three-star recruit offered by Illinois, Louisville and North Carolina State. He committed on April 10, 2011. That was the same day Charl Schwartzel won the Masters, which we're bringing up for no particular reason other than the fact that we more than likely have a few golf fans reading and it's a few short days after Jason Day won the PGA Championship.

College Career

After redshirting his freshman season, Holloman has appeared in every game of his college career while starting seven times. In 2013, he found himself as a third-team Freshman All-American after recording 44 tackles (5.0 TFLs) and three picks. He followed that up with a 33-tackle season in 2014 (2.5 TFLs), including seven against Clemson. Holloman's also a standout in the classroom, making the league's all-academic team in back-to-back years.

2015 Outlook

Holloman finds himself behind Skai Moore on the depth chart at the MIKE linebacker slot, but is sure to get plenty of field time in Jon Hoke's 4-3 defense. With Holloman, Moore and true junior Jonathan Walton in the mix, along with Bryson Allen-Williams and Larenz Bryant, the LB corps could turn out to be a strong point for this group in 2015.
