Skai Moore
Junior
Linebacker
6-2 / 218
Cooper City, Fla.
Recruitment
Moore was a three-star recruit who received numerous offers from some big name schools like Texas A&M, Ohio St., TCU and Tennessee, amongst a few others. Apparently, none of those schools offered what South Carolina could, and he enrolled onto the Gamecocks in June of 2013.
College Career
Skai burst on the scene in 2013 as a true freshman to lead the team with 56 tackles and four INT's and was selected by the coaches to the Freshman All-SEC team, all while only making four total starts. He continued his stellar play in 2014 as one of the lone bright spots on the Gamecocks troubled D. He led the team for a second consecutive year with 93 tackles, including 10+ tackle games against Georgia, Florida, Clemson and Miami.
2015 Outlook
Heading into his third, and possibly final year with the Gamecocks, Moore looks to continue the success of his first two years. Leading a strong LB unit, he'll attempt to become the first Gamecock to lead the team in tackles for three straight years since Tony Watkins did it in the mid-90's. As the undisputed leader on the defense, I don't think there's anything getting in Superman's way.
