Ladies and gentleman, football season is upon us. As a realization of this blessed season comes into full effect, remember that most things you’ve heard up to this point are speculation. Tonight at 8:00, that speculation turns into cold, hard, facts. Tonight we will find out what kind of team we really have, and we will discover the long-awaited starting quarterback. Tonight, everything changes.

Now I know you all want to watch the game, whether it be with your buddies from work, or your dog. IT’S FINALLY GAMEDAY, and the wait seems like an eternity, stuck in purgatory while we hear Clemson fans drone on about their success. Now it’s our turn.

This season, we get to see the start of a new era, the Will Muschamp era. Just like the beginning of any new time, there is definitive optimism in the air. And at eight o'clock tomorrow night that optimism could very well be validated. Vanderbilt is a team that could potentially surprise in the SEC, and some are going so far as to predict a bowl game in their future. It is certainly a daunting opening game - is South Carolina up to the task? Will we start the 2016 season on a strong note? I’ll guess you’ll have to tune in to find out.
