It's been a while, but in honor of our former managing editor, Connor Tapp, we present the Auguste Report - GABA's own spin on the Gamecocks' injury report. Today we tell you who's out, who's in, who might be in, and who's questionable for South Carolina's game against the ECU Pirates. And as always, we do that with the help of former Gamecock Akeem Auguste, whose tiny heads will guide you through the list. (Here's the story on that, by the way)
One Auguste | Expected to play, might not start |
Two Augustes | Game-time decision |
Three Augustes | Questionable |
Four Augustes | Doubtful |
Five Augustes | Out |
Deebo Samuel
Didn't dress due to hamstring issues and is out.
Blake Camper
Camper had a high ankle sprain in Starkville. During the teleconference on Sunday, Will Muschamp reported that the sophomore would be out against ECU as a result. Hopefully it's not too serious and we see him return for Kentucky next week.
Chaz Elder
Elder suffered a rib injury during the game against Mississippi State last week. On Sunday, Muschamp ruled the redshirt senior out for ECU - so it looks like Chris Moody will go for him instead.
Donell Stanley
Stanley's ankle injury has him on the shelf until after the open week.
Rico Dowdle
The freshman continues to progress well from his hamstring injury, but Muschamp still isn't tipping his hand in regards to when we'll see the RB on the field for the first time. The staff is really counting on him to help support A.J. Turner in the running game, insinuating that they'll keep the redshirt off based on their expectations and evaluations of the Asheville product. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a little longer to see him.
Kyle Markway
Markway's still nursing an ankle injury, and while he'll dress (and might see some time), he probably won't start.
