The infamous Arkansas-South Carolina rivalry restarts as we welcome to the Razorbacks to Columbia for the first time since 2012. Since Texas A&M has replaced them as our “permeant west opponent,” in 2013, this will be the first matchup since then between the Cocks and the Razorbacks.

We spoke with Eric Harris from our sister site, Arkansas Fight, about the matchup. If you guys have any questions for next week’s matchup against Tennessee, let me know in the comments.

1. Dave Williams has done a lot better at Arkansas than he did at USC. How do the fans feel about this RB?

I think he's exceeded everyone's expectations in Fayetteville! He's fit in seamlessly with Arkansas' three headed machine at running back. All three have at least 40 carries and 200 yards, but they all do it differently. Williams isn't the most talented of the three put he's done his job very well thus far.

2. What did you learn from the Carolina and A&M game since you guys have already played the Aggies?

I was really impressed with some of the throws Jake Benntley made. We definitely know how much of a beating a quarterback can take against A&M so the things he did wasn't easy. I also gained some confidence in Arkansas' ability to grind out successful runs like A&M did.

3. What offensive player for South Carolina needs to have a big day for the Gamecocks to win?

I'm worried about what Hayden Hurst because Arkansas hasn't seen a tight end that can catch the ball like he does yet. I'm very worried about him getting some key third down conversions in this game.

4. What defensive player needs to step up for the Razorbacks to win?

In the season opener our best corner Ryan Pulley went down with a season ending injury, he's been replaced by true freshman Kamren Curl, who's played like, well, a true freshman. He's had ups and downs with teams specifically trying to take advantage of his inexperience. He's going to have to make a couple of plays this Saturday for Arkansas.

5. Is Bret Bielema on the hot seat? How do fans feel about him?

It's definitely not as hot as some other places in the SEC, but there's some real pressure from fans Bielema to win after losing to A&M again. There's some warranted frustration from how last year ended and it's carried over after this slow start. I don't think he's in danger of losing his job due to his ridiculous buyout, but he needs to start winning some games.

6. What does Arkansas need to do to win this game?

On offense, keep Austin Allen from getting hit too much. The offensive line has been an adventure all year and not one of the fun ones. On defense, they have avoid breakdowns and not give up huge plays.

7. Who’s winning this game?

Ugh, looking at the numbers it feels like a game the Hogs should win but I just don't trust them in their first true road game of the year. 31-28 South Carolina.
