South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Missouri Tigers: Women's basketball preview, how to watch and live stream

The ladies return to the CLA as they look to extend the nation's longest home winning streak.

Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

It's hard to believe that the South Carolina Gamecocks haven't lost a game at Colonial Life Arena since February 10, 2013, a two-point defeat against Texas A&M. Since then, it's been nothing but wins under their own roof. They look to make it 42 straight at home as they face the Missouri Tigers in a big Sunday afternoon showdown.

When: Sunday, January 10, 2016, 12:00 p.m. ET

Where: Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, SC

How to Watch: SEC Network

Three Point Preview

1. It was a close call for the Gamecocks in Nashville against Vanderbilt, but they hung on to topple the Commodores 71-61. Tiffany Mitchell led the way with 22, while Alaina Coates added 11 and 10 for yet another double-double, her seventh of the season. The Tigers enter the game with one loss on their ledger - suffered against #12 Tennessee on Monday - but took down Georgia 54-48 in Athens on Thursday to even their SEC mark at 1-1.

2. The Tigers bring some balance into this afternoon's affair. Four players are in double figures, led by Sophie Cunningham's 14.6 points an outing (9th in the confererence) and Jordan Frericks' 12.4 ppg average. Frericks leads the way in boards per game (8.0). As far as points scored a game, the Gamecocks and Tigers rank 3rd and 4th, respectively.

3. With Mizzou's loss on Monday, there are now three undefeated teams in women's basketball: the Gamecocks, #1 UConn, and #4 Texas. The Huskies blew away Houston, 76-37, on Friday, while the Longhorns crushed Oklahoma State, 78-48, yesterday afternoon.
