#3 South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Georgia Bulldogs: Women's Basketball Preview and How to Watch

South Carolina looks to claim the outright SEC regular season title tonight against Georgia at home in Columbia.

Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

After earning at least a share of the conference title Monday night, South Carolina aims to earn an out right title with a win tonight against the Bulldogs.

#3 South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Georgia Bulldogs

When: Thursday, February 18th, 7p.m.

Where: Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, SC

How to watch: SEC Network +

Three Point Preview

1. The Gamecocks will honor those who have fought breast cancer tonight in their annual Play 4 Kay game. South Carolina will sport pink warm up shirts and halftime will feature a lap of honor hosted by the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. 2016 marks the 10th year of the Play 4 Kay initiative which is in memory of former NC State head coach Kay Yow.

2. Tonight's matchup features the SEC's number one offense (South Carolina) against the league's number one defense (Georgia). Since Dawn Staley's arrival, neither team averages more than 54 points per game in this series, so look for the Bulldogs defense to play a larger factor in this one than the Gamecocks offense.

3. Georgia dominates the overall series 33-10, but South Carolina has won four out of the last five. What's scary though, is the Bulldog's record in Columbia. Georgia is 14-4 in Columbia and 2-2 in their last four trips. If the Gamecocks can win tonight, they will have clinched the outright SEC title and will keep alive hopes of an undefeated conference season.
